● SYSTEM ONLINE — PERFORMANCE ENGINE READY
RESET FPS BOOSTER reads your actual hardware, applies documented Windows and NVIDIA driver settings through their real APIs, and shows you exactly what changed — every value, before and after. Nothing invented. Nothing irreversible.
The Problem With Most "FPS Boosters"
Most optimizers flip registry switches nobody can verify and print an FPS number nobody measured. RESET FPS BOOSTER does neither — every module reads the real setting first, and every change is logged in plain language.
Grouped by the same categories the app uses internally
Prioritizes your game's CPU/GPU scheduling while it has focus, and disables the Xbox Game Bar background capture buffer that quietly eats CPU, GPU and disk I/O.
Low riskSwitches from Balanced to High Performance so your CPU stops downclocking to save power, and disables non-essential startup helpers — gaming platforms are never touched.
Low riskLets a compatible GPU manage its own video memory queue directly for lower latency. Requires a restart, so it's opt-in rather than pre-selected.
Medium riskSets Power Management, Threaded Optimization, Texture Filtering and V-Sync through NVIDIA's own NVAPI — the same values the NVIDIA Control Panel exposes, applied without opening it.
Medium riskRemoves the roughly 10,000 packets/sec cap Windows quietly applies to network traffic while a multimedia or gaming task is active.
Low riskTrims the working set of idle background processes and clears Windows' reclaimable Standby List. Nothing is closed — pages simply re-fault back in on next use.
Low riskScans your user and system temp folders and shows the reclaimable size before deleting a single byte.
Low riskDisables Windows' automatic power throttling of background processes. Flagged on laptops, since it can trade battery life for consistency.
Low riskNothing is applied before you see it
Reads your real CPU, GPU, RAM and storage via WMI, and checks the current state of every module — not a guess, an actual query.
Shows the exact setting each selected module will change, its risk level, and whether it needs admin rights or a restart.
Writes only what you approved, through the real Windows registry, NVAPI, or power-plan APIs — never an undocumented trick.
Records the previous value of every single change before it's made, so it can be reverted individually at any time.
Game Boost Mode
A background watcher checks every few seconds for a known game process. The instant one launches, other background apps drop to a lower CPU scheduling priority — never suspended, never closed — and the game itself gets priority. The moment it exits, everything returns to normal automatically.
Game Profiles & Autoexec
Game Profiles are detected by reading your actual Steam and Epic library metadata — not a hardcoded catalog. For Apex Legends and Counter-Strike 2, a curated autoexec.cfg can be installed with one click: rendering-cost cvars turned down, verified against community-maintained configs, with the previous file always backed up.
Performance Monitor
Injecting into a game's render loop to fake an FPS overlay is exactly the kind of "trust me" number this app refuses to show. Instead, the Performance page reads real system telemetry continuously, so you can watch the actual effect of every change you make.
Every registry value, driver setting and file that's modified is snapshotted first. Restore one change or an entire session from the Backups page.
"Power Management: Adaptive → Prefer Maximum Performance." Not a hash, not a code — the actual old and new value.
Beyond its own snapshots, the app can trigger an actual Windows System Restore point in one click, covering the whole machine.
Modules that need elevation say so upfront. The app detects missing rights and offers to relaunch elevated — it never silently fails or crashes.
